How Our Boots and Shoes Are Made
The Design Phase
1. Choose Your Basic Shape
To start the bootmaking process, choose one of our existing designs from our product design catalog and customize your shoe, heel size, and toe shape from there or we can design a shoe just for you.
Send us a photo or sketch of your ideal boot and we can create it for you. If you can dream it, we can make it. These are made for you and no one else so let us know what you want in a boot or shoe and we will design it for you. We will create a draft sketch of your design.

2. Customize Your Shoe
Once you’ve chosen your basic design and shape, it’s time to really personalize and choose your leather type, leather color, embroidery color, and inlay colors.
We work with all leather types and colors including traditional cowhide, oil tan, American bison, snake skin, alligator, and other luxury and exotic leathers.
We use as much American made leather we have access to and we take pride in choosing to work with small businesses as our vendors and suppliers.
3. Pay Deposit & Measure Foot
All of our boots are custom made to fit your feet perfectly and comfortably. Once you have your design and leathers picked out, a 50% non-refundable deposit of the estimated cost of the boot or shoe is due to start production and we will order your materials and leather. We will then measure each of your feet individually and will tailor your boot to fit your exact foot shape.
We can measure your feet in-person in Cheyenne, Wyoming or we can schedule a virtual fitting as well where we will walk you through how to properly trace and measure you feet.
The Production Phase
4. Create Pattern
Now that your design elements are finalized, we will create a final design and pattern for you of your custom boot. Once the design and pattern are finalized, we will officially start production!
5. Cut Out Leather
We will start by cutting out the leather and any custom inlays you would like based off of your shoe pattern. Everything is done by hand at our shop in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
6. Sewing and Stitching
After all the leather pieces are cut out, we start assembling and the sewing starts. All of our stitching is done by hand, never using automated machines.
The Finishing Phase
7. Form Around Last
We will take your boot and stretch it around a last to shape the leather, stretch it, and give the shoe form.
8. Attach Sole
Once your shoe has the right form, we will then stitch the sole onto the bottom using a mixture of nails and glue.
9. Sanding and Finishing
We will then sand your boot and make sure the leather is treated and buffed. We will make any finishing touches and give your new shoe a professional shine.
Completion
10. Final Payment
We will let you know as soon as we have your custom pair of boots or shoes finished. Your remaining balance is due upon completion.
11. Shipping & Delivery
Once we have received your final payment, we will either ship them out to you or you can pick them up if you are in the Cheyenne, Wyoming area.
12. Take Your Shoes Out!
